Eburomagus, Archaeological Museum in Bram

Archaeological Museum

This museum in the heart of the circular village of Bram bears the ancient name of the commune: Eburomagus, yew market…You will not find fossilised yews here, but a collection that presents the latest local archaeological discoveries in six main themes: daily life, exchanges, funeral practices… You can see the remains of the Via Aquitania, which linked Narbonne to Bordeaux in the Gallo-Roman era. Activities, workshops and temporary exhibitions are regularly organised here.

The museum outdoor’s trail

From the museum, be sure to take the path of the ‘musée hors-les-murs’ or ‘museum outside the walls’ to find the trace of the ancient sites that bear witness to the age-old history of the village of Bram – an invitation to travel back in time!
